From December 27th to 28th, 2023, the Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA) held a training session on conflict resolution and negotiation in Qardho. Bringing together 50 members from diverse civil society sectors including youth organizations, women’s groups, elders, cultural bodies, scholars, academics, and representatives from the Qardho district administration, including local council members, judiciary, and law enforcement. The aim of the training was to equip participants with essential conflict resolution and negotiation skills, emphasizing techniques such as mediation and effective listening.
