The Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA), in partnership with the Puntland Ministry of Interior, is holding an important meeting to explore the future of Puntland’s democratization and its ultimate direction. This gathering aims to evaluate the democratic journey of the region and address pivotal issues related to its advancement. A major focus of the discussions will be on completing the local council elections in the three remaining districts: Garowe, Dongoroyo, and Godobjiran.
The meeting will tackle the challenges and opportunities involved in finalizing these elections, with an emphasis on ensuring transparent and inclusive electoral processes. By bringing together key stakeholders, PUNSAA and the Ministry of Interior Affairs seek to formulate a strategic plan that fosters broad political participation and strengthens democratic institutions. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to enhancing democratic governance and engaging all segments of the community in Puntland’s political future.
