Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA), in collaboration with the TAG Foundation, convened a public meeting in Galkayo city. The event brought together diverse elements of the civil society of Galkayo District, members of the local council, representatives from the regional administration, and those from Galkayo District.
The primary objective of this gathering was to facilitate the exchange of experiences, raise awareness, and ensure transparency and accountability to the community in Galkayo district and the officials representing various government councils. Notably, the meeting was also animated by the enthusiasm of internally displaced persons (IDPs) who actively participated in the elections of the Local Councils under the one man, one vote system in Puntland.
